I am a consultant to social services agencies which find themselves with inflexible or underutilized database software or who seek to combine and rationalize multiple sources of data to meet regulatory, accounting and workflow needs. As of January 2020 I am available for contracts under 20 hours a week, or short term full time work, but am not seeking full time, permanent job offers.I provide SQL scripting, data reporting, government compliance, normalization, analysis, and application support to several NYC based housing and social services agencies. I specialize in adapted reporting from Netsmart Evolv or any MS SQL based application, using Reporting Services and bespoke reporting,using Structured Query Language.I have long experience with the HMIS data sets, APR, AHAR, and supporting data for NOFA requests. This includes in Continuum of Care relationships, other regulatory reporting and relations, such as NY State OMH, New York City agencies, and HUD, as well as HUD-VASH with the VA. I have provided new software roll out, workflow creation, form design and implementation, program staff buy-in, training, and data quality remediation. I provide special training, auditing, and oversight for HIPAA / HITECH Act covered entities for staff, workflow, IT needs, and follow up auditing. Long experience has given me broad knowledge of the work and requirements of social services providers and mental health clinicians. I managed, document, develop and provide training for EMR users. SQL Clinic uses Perl CGI.pm and a PostgreSQL 9.xx database to manage social work and mental health medical records, as well as organizational records (personnel, property development, maintenance, billing). I assist the lead developer in planning, testing, and debugging. I provide documentation and all training and support for hundreds of front line users.Additionally, I managed automated statistical reporting for hospital and government oversight (HUD/NYC CCoC HMIS & APR reporting in particular), ran NYS restorative services Medicaid billing (837i) for 100 clients a month, and provided QI using NYS Medicaid Management Information Systems. I produced data analysis and bespoke reporting for any and all aspects of my department's work, both within the office, the larger organization, and to outside government, regulatory, and funding agencies.I also provided roll out, training, and maintenance of our software for several outside non-profit agencies in New York City dealing with homeless services and mental health/MICA population case management and housing.I oversaw a twelve person training and guidance team amongst our senior staff, providing decentralized user support and QI, as well as funneling their work into the software development process. I provided both on-site and remote troubleshooting and training, from introductory to advanced users. I ran monthly training sessions for all new staff, and worked with my team to provide more in-depth training on site. I deployed related services via Wordpress and other tools.I worked on a Linux (Slackware 13.37, Ubuntu 12.04) web server and workstations, using psql for database interaction. I also dealt with general desktop and networking issues spread across sixteen locations in four boroughs and Westchester county, helping staff use Windows (7 to 2000!) networked workstations and a myriad of office tools.

I provided complete websites -- at first static, later Wordpress implementations -- for a variety of paying customers. I also did everything from designing a banner, to business cards, to setting up home and office networks (wired) for customers ranging from friends of friends to (very) small businesses and professionals.
