About Thomas Pond

I've used data to tell stories for over 20 years and have been a data architect for most of them. Helping my business partners see the power in information motivates me daily. I teach them how structured, managed, and governed data can get their business ahead of the competition. My best days are when I guide cross-functional teams to merge data structures and business processes, creating solutions neither team imagined possible.Following trends in data usage and technology helps me provide the right solutions for current problems and a foundation for future opportunities. This helps management establish a future with code that is clean and well documented, data that is more useful, and business partners who are delighted by our products. I also use this knowledge to mentor teammates and those I manage, helping them integrate tools like Data Vault 2.0, AWS, dbt, and Snowflake. This empowers them to advance their skills and careers.When not working with data, I'm with my partner landscaping our yard, visiting art museums, searching for great restaurants, or kayak-camping in Arkansas.
