Responsibilities: oversee prototype and pilot builds, collaborate with remote factory assembly teams in contract manufacturing ( CM / ODM ), new product introduction ( NPI ), and support factory final assembly teams to resolve pilot production, ramp-up and product launch matters. Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methods to eliminate non-value-added steps, reduce cost and shorten lead times. Typically allocated to programs from early design/concept development through pilot/pre-production into stable production. Connector design patent application 14/310464 accepted into USPTO in July 2014. Extensive work with Sourcing, Supplier Partners, Model Shop, Industrial Engineering, Product Test, Metrology and Supplier Quality and Process Quality groups.
