About Thomas Marlar
I am a professional educator in the field of education management. I have worked in the History field teaching High School (9-12): World History, Psychology, and Sociology, Middle School (6-8) Autism self-contained class and High School Special Education in an in-class support (ICS) role. I currently teach Adapted Physical Education at the district level (K-12). I am Louisiana certified in: Social Studies 7-12, and Health and Physical Education K-12. In Texas I am certified in: Health and PE EC-12, Social Studies 7-12, and Special Education EC-12. I have experience as a Varsity Offensive Line Coach, which I did for 8 years, working in the Baton Rouge, Shreveport, and Houston areas. Also some time doing Varsity Running Backs. I have one year of experience as a baseball coach, serving as the Sophomore Head Coach. I obtained my Associates of General Studies from Bossier Parish Community College, my Bachelor of Arts in History from Louisiana State University, and my Master of Science in Adapted Physical Education (APE) from the University of South Carolina. My teaching certification was obtained through ITeach Louisiana.
