Hired and managed a team of 25 engineers in three cities across the US for a joint venture between Excite and Dow Jones. Personally responsible for managing a multi-million dollar budget supporting multiple hosting sites landing us in the Media Metrix top 10 B2B sites in less than six months. Solely responsible for website architecture and had final say on internal engineering processes. Our portal platform was implemented using J2EE technologies (JSP, Servlets, EJB and JMS) and provided external partner access via an XML/SOAP API.
