Thomas is a computer scientist, entrepreneur, investor and CEO.He has operated as an entrepreneur, engineer & executive spanning 2 decades in the epicenter of Silicon Valley's innovation engine during a time of exponential growth, expanding business models & M&A activity that produced market leading, intelligent products & technologies.Thomas thrived in world class, innovative companies, cultures and talent that nurtured the development of complex and pioneering technologies aiding billions worldwide. He founded his first tech venture in high school & eventually began his intrapreneurial journey as a product engineer at HP Palo Alto then at Cisco scaled multiple $Billion intelligent products, he has built value across product development, corporate strategy, Enterprise IT, sales strategy to operating & management. He eventually led enterprise transformational change strategy with the big three at his side, aimed at restructuring complex people, process, technology challenges generated by activity from 100+ M&A events.He founded & served as Cisco’s inaugural Latin American employee CTO over the Americas & Europe while working with Cisco Ventures to seed billion-dollar ideas across global markets & evangelizing emerging technologies aligned to Cisco’s investment portfolio.Thomas has been a SaaS, AI & e-tail tech investor since the 90's & is currently the General Partner of Topline Ventures, an Austin based, early stage venture capital firm focused on overlooked pioneers & visionaries who are building the future through technology. Toplines Investment thesis is sector agnostic and spans across AI, Cybersecurity, B2B/SaaS, Developer Tools & related technologies. He serves on UT's College of Natural Science (CNS) Dean's Advisory Council and Texas A&M's Central Texas Presidents Technology & Entrepreneurship Advisory Board.Thomas also leads Sparkovation Advisors where he advises startups, CEOs, corporations & investment portfolios on value creation, leadership/talent, business strategy and IT modernization. He has been a champion of social impact across overlooked communities, including education, workforce & inclusion and has served as a past Chair of The Austin Hispanic Chamber, Austin Ed Fund, Mission Capital (SVP affiliate) and EGBI. And currently serves on the boards of UFCU, Texas Lyceum, KUT, Capital Area Workforce Development Board (TWC), the Austin Area Research Organization, GABC & past boards include: Leadership Austin, Austin Chamber. He graduated with a BSEE from UTSA & has earned PM & Leadership credentials from GWU, Stanford and MIT.
