- Responsible for the full electrical development of award-winning cannabis vaporizer products. Electrical developer of the UL-approved PAX Era Pro and Era Life products, with new revisions of the PAX 3 flower vape. Teamed with MEs, FW and SW engineers, co-ops and interns, marketing, product designers, manufacturing, sourcing, toxicology, and business analysts - as well as overseas CMs and JDMs.- Development of precision thermal control systems, BLE and NFC RF communications, battery safety systems.- Skills Utilized: Minimal Viable Product design, UL certification and support, HDI PCB design, Altium schematic and PCB layout, rigid-flex HDI design, RF layout, parts and system specification, cost and feature analysis, root cause analysis, system validation, prototyping and proof-of-concept development, EMI suppression, cross-functional communication and presentation, delivering safe electrical designs to an under-served market.

Responsible for the design and development of rapid DNA amplification PCR (polymerase chain reaction) equipment in a noise-sensitive environment - utilizing thermal contact and non-contact photonic heat transfer methods (patent pending). Development of thermal control systems. Teamed with EEs, mechanical and software engineers, UX and UI designers, biochem researchers, business and marketing analysts, and external manufacturers/developers.Skills Utilized: Altium Designer schematic and PCB layout, rapid prototyping, low-level firmware development (C, C++, Python), EMI suppression techniques, power and analog design, analog & digital design, manufacturing and DFM documentation, design reviews and technical presentations.

Research, development, and design of low concentration volatile organic compound gas detector and analyzer using Quantum Cascade Lasers for ISM applications (US Patent 9075001 B2). Other projects include development of maritime surveillance camera stabilization platform for military and cargo ship applications, development of a real-time radiation detector for airport security screening, and developing various brushed and brushless motor control systems for pan-and-tilt surveillance camera applications.My responsibilities include development and testing of electronics and microcontroller solutions, integration of 3rd party hardware to in-house systems, design and hardware integration based on customer's needs, PCB design using Altium Designer, SMD repair and rework, system simulation and testing, surveillance equipment system design.
