Major Responsibilities and duties• Extensive knowledge with best practices in enterprise-wide information technology security programs for the overall security and integrity of Information Technology applications, hardware, networks, systems and electronic data• Experience in risk, compliance and information security policy development• Knowledge and understanding of K-12 education, governmental agency or corporate/industry information security, governance, risk and compliance practices and standards• Knowledge of laws and regulations including but not limited to: (FERPA), (COPPA), (CIPA), (PPRA), and (HIPAA)• Experience with development of educational programs in the area of security awareness• Knowledge of IT processes and controls and strong understanding of risk and control frameworks such as (CoBIT, ISO, NIST, ITIL, PCI)• General knowledge of information security regulatory requirements and standards such as SANS top 20 and NIST 800-53• Ability to ensure standards and parameters for any systems are correct• Knowledge of network security protocols• Knowledge of information security best practices• Knowledge of project management best practices• Ability to identify, analyze and resolve security vulnerabilities and problems• Ability to evaluate data, business requirements, and security applications• Knowledge of system/application vulnerability testing software• Knowledge of scanning and vulnerability management systems• Knowledge of incident response methodology and in coordinating, investigating, and reporting of information technology security incidents• Knowledge of threat intelligence• Knowledge of security tools such as to monitor networks, servers, computers, mobile devices and applications software• Knowledge in defining information technology security policies, procedures and standards• Proven problem solver with ability to provide in-depth analysis of complex problems, manage risk and provide timely and accurate decisions.
