Worked as a payroll intern at the Earth Institute at Columbia University headquarters of a research institute with 30 research centers and 850 scientists and academics dedicated to addressing global issues related to climate change, environmental degradation, poverty and sustainability. Scheduled interviews and meetings, served as the human resources receptionist, managed time sheets and invoices and emailed employees about confidential compensation information. Summer of 2011 and 2012.

Lewis, Associate Director of the School of Computer Science and EngineeringWorked closely with Professor Lewis, who was the overall coordinator of the university’s four engineering technology programs and who served in leadership roles in Northern New Jersey’s Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Studied and tested an autonomous (i.e., independent of human guidance) robot car to determine the effectiveness of using photo-detectors or light sensors for the car’s navigation. Developed an autonomous stick shift for another, larger autonomous robot car.
