• Served as Department of Defense liaison to UAE Armed Forces to enhance defense cooperation and promote US goals and objectives. • Coordinated military exercises and other activities involving UAE and US military forces.• Facilitated US military access to and operations from UAE bases after September 2001 terrorist attacks.

• Led 26-person division responsible for planning and execution of Air Force wartime and contingency logistics operations.• Developed logistics support plans for Air Force unit deployment and employment. • Supervised the USCENTAF Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) and established procedures for contingency and wartime operations.

• Wrote doctrine that was adopted Air Force-wide regarding development of training and metrics to ensure operational readiness of forces. • Inspected command units to determine the operational readiness of forces for crisis response, unit and individual deployments, and wartime operations. • Reviewed, analyzed, and suggested improvements to procedures to improve operations efficiency and effectiveness.

• Reviewed all Wing war and contingency plans to ensure units could fulfill wartime missions. • Coordinated approval of all plans and conducted annual staff assistance visits with each Wing unit to ensure compliance with published directives. • Acted as Wing Operations Security Officer to establish procedures to protect operations and as Treaty Compliance Officer to ensure Wing compliance with various international treaties.

• Led 74-person organization and managed the Wing Command Post and Aircraft Maintenance Operations Center.• Provided command and control guidance to 3rd Air Force and 100th Air Refueling Wing commanders.

• Supervised command and control for regional air defense and search and rescue operations.• Coordinated air defense and intercept operations against Soviet military air activity. • Maintained search and rescue (SAR) mission coordinator certification and directed combined US-Icelandic SAR operations.

• Commanded a unit of 10 Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles.• Supervised six missile launch crews and all security and maintenance personnel. • Maintained certification in weapons system operations, cryptographic codes, and missile launch procedures.
