Some of these projects are short-term in nature but many are much longer term. In the early 1990's I was a commercial reviewer for many business plans submitted for BenFrankling Technology Funding. This invovled periodic meetings and busienss plan reviews. As a more enduring example, I began to consult with IW on Carnegie Speech as it was spinning out of Carnegie Mellon University. Once the company was established and began revenue generation, I was asked to sit on its Board of Directors. I did so until we were successful in our first institutional fund-raising round (+$2 Million) at which time I resigned to open up a seat for the institutional money investor. -

QV during this period became one of the best school districts in PA as evidenced by ratings in Newsweek. I was responsible for leading the search for a new superintendent using a very structured process suited to take into account the varied stakeholder needs in the District. As treasurer, the district's bond rating during my tenure was upgraded to Moody's Aaa and I was involved with two bond offerings for new elementary schools and one bond refinancing yielding a $300,000 savings to the District.
