This was done by implementing multiple cost saving initiatives on the operational side. I implemented a bidding process, reduced distributor dependency, and introduced packaging and purchasing efficiencies which brought operational costs down by ~$3.5M per year. Furthermore, I deepened our relationships with existing major clients and raw material manufacturers. I worked to streamline the manufacturing process for our clients, which included finding appropriate global partners. Additionally, by partnering directly with manufacturers, we saved on the cost of raw materials. Due to my excellent performance, I was promoted to VP after 8 months.
