With 25 years in the U.S. Coast Guard, I’ve developed a career marked by leadership, adaptability, and a deep commitment to maritime safety and law enforcement. Rising through the ranks from Chief Petty Officer (BMC) to Chief Warrant Officer (BOSN) and now Lieutenant (LT) in the Response Ashore community, my journey reflects a blend of operational expertise and leadership in diverse, high-stakes environments. My career has focused on Law Enforcement, specializing in Living Marine Resources Enforcement, Ports, Waterways & Coastal Security, and Recreational Boating Safety. These skills were honed through assignments in locations such as Sandwich, MA; Boston, MA; Woods Hole, MA; Gloucester, MA; Annapolis, MD; Oxford, MD; Seattle, WA; Washington, DC; and Miami, FL. My extensive experience in Search and Rescue (SAR), developed through four Boat Station assignments, underscores my dedication to saving lives at sea.Leadership has been a cornerstone of my service, evidenced by roles as Executive Petty Officer (XPO) and Officer in Charge (OIC) at various units. I’ve led teams through critical missions, balancing the demands of command with the responsibility of personnel development. My service aboard four Cutters, including three Coastal Patrol Boats and a High-Endurance Cutter, has further refined my navigation and ship-handling skills, allowing me to execute complex maritime operations effectively.I am certified as a Boat Coxswain and Underway Officer of the Deck (OOD) on multiple platforms, which has enabled me to carry out a wide range of missions requiring quick decision-making and expert maneuvering under pressure. My qualifications in Maritime Law Enforcement, including roles as a Boarding Officer and Fisheries Enforcement Officer, complement my operational background. My work within the Seventh Coast Guard District Enforcement Branch and at the Office of Boat Forces at CG Headquarters has also provided me with valuable administrative experience, contributing to policy development and mission effectiveness.Throughout my career, I’ve demonstrated the ability to adapt, overcome challenges, and lead with integrity. My focus remains on the Coast Guard’s mission: to protect the public, the environment, and U.S. economic interests.I’m eager to bring my extensive experience, proven leadership, and commitment to maritime safety and security to new challenges, whether continuing my service in the Coast Guard or exploring opportunities in the private sector.
