As a self-taught professional software engineer, my primary focus is on developing cutting-edge tools that can detect, classify, and prevent malware such as my invention Malcore (https://malcore.io). My passion for coding runs deep, and I firmly believe that it is both a science and an art form. While anyone can learn to code, only a select few can truly master it.Over the years, I have honed my skills in a variety of areas, but my true passions lie in software engineering, reverse engineering, malware analysis, and threat hunting. These areas are particularly fascinating to me because they require a unique blend of technical proficiency, creativity, and problem-solving skills. As someone who is constantly learning and evolving, I relish the challenges that come with staying on the cutting edge of this rapidly evolving field.What sets me apart from others in my field is that I am entirely self-taught. While many people pursue formal education in computer science or a related field, I chose a different path. I was determined to learn everything I needed to know on my own, through trial and error, self-study, and hands-on experience.While this approach was not without its challenges, it has also given me a unique perspective and skillset. I am not bound by traditional modes of thinking or constrained by preconceived notions about what is or isn't possible. Instead, I am free to explore new ideas, push boundaries, and create innovative solutions that can make a real difference in the fight against cybercrime.In my work, I am particularly interested in discovering and tracking advanced persistent threats (APTs) and other interesting actors. These types of threats are particularly insidious because they are designed to evade traditional detection methods and can remain undetected for long periods of time. By developing tools and techniques that can effectively identify and neutralize these threats, I am contributing to a safer, more secure online environment for everyone.Overall, I am incredibly passionate about my work as a software engineer and proud of everything I have accomplished. Whether I am analyzing malware, developing new tools, or collaborating with others in the industry, I am always striving to learn more, do better, and make a positive impact in the world.
