• Serve as a volunteer business advisor/independent consultant for an organization helping businesses to start, grow, and prosper in Southwest Colorado.• Advise on business planning, startup strategy, budgeting, financial projections, valuation and funding, and financial and operational performance benchmarking based on financial statements, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and industry data.• Support debt and equity fundraising, acquisitions, and the sale of established and startup businesses.

Notable achievements while in the position have included:- Exceeded sales targets contributing to >35% annual revenue growth for Energy Solutions services.

• Responsible for bringing energy facility and business operations perspective to the alternative energy investment team.• Conducted renewable energy research and synthesized insights to identify new investment opportunities for deploying capital in projects, funds, and direct investments. • Evaluated and oversaw operations at portfolio technology companies and infrastructure assets and business plans, assessed technologies, and advised on investment decisions in clean energy.• Coordinated the project development for a 160MW wind farm, including resource assessment, site layout, permitting, transmission interconnection, environmental studies, power marketing, and financial modeling. • Monitored the development and operations of an early-stage portfolio company engaged in algae cultivation and harvesting for biofuel applications. • Managed strategic partnerships with sister companies producing and treating natural gas to deliver synergies by utilizing waste carbon dioxide and wastewater streams. • Performed due diligence on the potential acquisition of a 2,000-megawatt wind power project pipeline under development on federal lands throughout the western United States.Notable achievements while in the position included:- Supported the successful placement of $30 million in capital commitments to alternative energy and clean technology companies, private equity, and venture capital funds.- Successfully negotiated a purchase agreement to sell carbon credits generated by capturing fugitive methane emissions associated with oil and gas production on the Southern Ute Indian Tribe (SUIT) Reservation.
