Working in a traditional pub allows you to improve your personal communications skills by getting to know the local customers as well as welcoming new faces. Being able to run the pub for the evening and being in charge of cashing the tills off at the end of the night. With the manager able to delegate tasks to me, I was able to gain trust from him.

By living onsite I was in entrusted with the day to day running of the business as well as being the first point of call when a problem arose. By developing different spreadsheets I was able to change the way the finance system was deployed and made the quarterly VAT returns much easier to complete. As well as being in charge of a number of different events that took place throughout my time there I was able to develop a strong relationship with Nottingham Brewery as well as other suppliers which helped produce fun and successful events.
