My journey in design started with Ryerson Universities Theatre Production program. I wanted to learn how to build and design sets for theatre and the film industry. I attended the program for a year leaving with a understanding of all aspects of production; lighting, sound, costume, rigging, etc.. I wanted to concentrate on building and expanding my hands on training in carpentry and construction. I took an apprenticeship training program for local 187 carpenters union where we did primarily forming, and framing. After completing the program and joining the 187 Union, I wanted to learn more about design side of architecture and interior spaces. I pursued the program Environmental Design at O.C.A.D University and graduated with a bachelors degree of design in 2020. There I learned a lot about the fundamentals of planning for the design of architecture and spaces. I gained a interest in sustainability, accessibility, and affordability in architecture.
