As SVP at GBB, I provided senior leadership and technical consulting on projects related to all aspects of solid waste management, including waste conversion, reduction, recycling, and curbside collection. As a corporate officer, I helped the company navigate the complexities of providing seamless service during the pandemic.

As Chief Operating Officer for this alternative fuel start-up looking to use municipal solid waste to create an EPA-approved advanced automobile fuel additive, I create strategic plans, develop markets, cultivate partnership alliances, and collaborate with funding institutions to drive progress toward business goals. I also partner with engineering consultants to provide insights on technical issues and interface with regulators and legislators on issues related to municipal solid waste and air regulation.Highlights:◊ Develop business financial estimates and plans for use in acquiring funding and new projects. ◊ Leveraged industry-wide relationships to form strategic alliances within a consortium of international team members creating projects and responding to proposal requests.◊ Prepared company’s response to business-critical request for qualifications for Prince William County, Virginia project. As a key leader within this waste industry consulting firm, I led waste conversion technology evaluation and feasibility projects while meeting established goals through the effective management of project teams. As Business Manager, I managed the financial, business administration, and operational efforts within Alexandria/Arlington and Fairfax waste-to-energy facilities, and worked collaboratively with the Facility Manager to ensure the facilities availability improved. My key activities were managing and administering service agreements with client communities, preparing fiscal budgets and monthly income and cash figures, and negotiating and administering contract agreements with waste haulers. I also served as chief administrator of each facility’s power purchase agreement with Dominion Virginia Power and established annual optimal capacity rating.Highlights:◊ Oversaw a multimillion-dollar pollution control upgrade/retrofit project at the Alexandria facility that was constructed while the plant remained operational over the 2-year construction period◊ Recognized by senior leadership for improving Arlington facility performance◊ Delivered additional revenue by negotiating amendments to Service and Power Purchase Agreements◊ Handpicked by leadership to transition to the Fairfax facility based on positive performance gains at the Alexandria/Arlington facility
