This position seemingly has me doing everything but designing. I do a lot of continuous improvement projects (CIP Green Belt), LEAN projects (LEAN certified), manufacturing/process engineering, quality assurance, procurement, all on top of my standard design work (drawings, BOM's, specifications, analysis). Working in rotating equipment was never even on my radar when I graduated, but since I started I have rarely been bored due to the nature of rotating equipment design and all its subtleties and nuances. Not to mention the fact that I work on primary plant equipment for the very demanding nuclear power industry.
