CurrentMy practice areas include energy, environmental, oil & gas, telecom, land use, transportation and administrative law, as well as related litigation. In the energy field, I assist clients with regulatory matters involved with the New York State Public Service Commission (PSC) (and other State utility commissions), including CPCN approvals and ESCO regulatory and enforcement matters. I regularly assist with renewable energy project permitting, siting, PILOTs, PPAs as well as solar leases and related land acquisition matters. Also in the energy space, I have extensive experience with regulatory and development issues related to microgrids in New York. I have also assisted oil and gas industry clients with environmental regulatory issues. Also in the oil and gas industry, I have assisted operators and service companies in state and federal court litigation, including lawsuits related to oil and gas leases.In the environmental sphere, I assist clients in environmental law matters under state and federal laws across all environmental media, including permitting, compliance and litigation. In the telecom sector, I regularly assist wireless carriers and tower owners with siting and permitting new and existing facilitiesunder local zoning/land use laws, as well as approvals from the Adirondack Park Agency. I regularly obtain telecom CPCNs, as well as approvals for regulated companies, in conjunction with acquisitions and financing, from the New York PSC.I have extensive experience with environmental impact review under New York's State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) and the federal National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) related to private and government projects. I have assisted real estate developers and municipalities with land use and zoning matters, including successful defense of SEQRA lawsuits challenging project approvals.
