This golf association is promoting golf to the many talented junior golfers throughout the state of Georgia. My job throughout the summer is to help run junior golf tournaments that are held at many different golf courses throughout Georgia. When I am working at the golf tournaments, the "daily activities for tournament staff include: player registration, starting at the first tee, course marshalling, officiating, scoring, course clean up and overall supervision of the event."

My role as working at the Manor Golf Club as an intern includes: - Marketing the course more intensively to local community members, while also attracting more golfers from outside the local community,- Creating a website,- Organizing golf events and tournaments during the weekends when significant numbers of Hampden-Sydney and Longwood alumni and parents will be in the community,- Working with the new and existing hotels in the community to put together “golf and stay” packages. These efforts should include efforts to connect with visitors who shop at Green Front- Growing the revenues derived from the sales of merchandise, and- Working with the General Manager to improve the appearance of The Manor, such as cleaning-up the entryway along Route 15, and making other amenity improvements.
