Conducts briefings, training sessions, consultations, and strategy sessions with the HQ USAF Total Force Integration Office/other USAF Major Commands/USAF Doctrine Center to secure cooperation, resolve controversial matters, and convey information relative to the Total Force Integration Program. Serves as the primary advisor to AFMC senior leadership on SF operational, force development, personnel, and deployment matters. Represents the Command at the USAF Security Forces Manager Council, SF Utilization & Training Workshop, and enlisted force development teams. Plays an integral role in formulating policy and program requirements for two Air Force Level II confinement facilities along with the Command’s air base defense, weapons system security, anti-terrorism/force protection, law enforcement, and military working dog programs. Provides input to, and coordinates with, the Air Force and other MAJCOM Security Forces Functional Managers on all operational, readiness, and policy matters. Security Forces Squadron Superintendent for the 66th Security Forces Squadron, Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts. Was the top enlisted advisor to the commander on enlisted matters for 150 active duty and reserve personnel. Provided strategic program oversight for all law enforcement, installation security, and force protection efforts. Planned and executed deployments for worldwide wartime taskings while supporting United States Secret Service and other federal, state and local law enforcement agencies. Was responsible for assessing the training, proficiency, and morale of the unit in order to identify and correct negative trends/deficiencies.

First Sergeant for the largest (800 personnel) communications squadron (435th Communications Squadron) in the US Air Force and then the 435th Mission Support Group, 435th Air Base Wing, Ramstein AB, Germany. Provided advice to the 435th Mission Support Group Commander and 435th Mission Support Group Superintendent on career development, morale, welfare, readiness, deployment policies, promotion, recognition, professional military education, and quality of life programs for the 2,850 personnel assigned to the group. The group provided military and civilian personnel, services, communications, security, and contracting support to the Kaiserslautern Military Community (KMC), one of the largest overseas military communities with more than 44,000 personnel. The group also served as the base liaison with the Army and Air Force Exchange Service and Defense Commissary Agency supporting the KMC. In addition to the aformentioned primary duties, was President of the KMC First Sergeants' Association and led the largest and most diverse group of first sergeants in the US Air Force – 74 first sergeants in three Major Commands, three wings, Headquarters US Air Forces Europe Staff, five tenants, and four geographically separated units.

First Sergeant for the 735th Civil Engineer Squadron, 435th Civil Engineer Group, 435th Air Base Wing, Ramstein AB, Germany. Led, supervised, and mentored 800 military/civilian personnel (along with serving 1,300 family members) in the largest CE squadron in the Air Force. The squadron was dispersed throughout three bases in the Kaiserslautern Military Community: Ramstein AB, Sembach, and Einsiedlerhof. Was the principal advisor to the commander on a wide range of topics including the health, esprit de corps, discipline, mentoring, well-being, career progression, recognition, and professional development for all unit personnel. Prepared, coordinated, executed, and followed up on all administrative, nonjudicial, and judicial actions. Ensured the enlisted force understood the commander’s policies, goals, and objectives. Also ensured that support agencies were responsive to needs of unit personnel. Managed the dependent care program and oversaw squadron recognition programs.

Security Forces Superintendent for various functions at the 82nd Security Forces Squadron, Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas.Performed as the wing exercise evaluation team chief for security, developing wartime and force protection scenarios to evaluate combat support functions during contingency operations. Developed wing-level master scenario events lists designed to test response to contingency situations. Managed the unit standardization and evaluation program, providing a mission capability assessment and expert evaluation of 100+ security forces members and 16 functional workcenters. Evaluated the police services, resource protection, and administrative functions serving a population of 28,000 personnel. Validated security requirements for three housing areas, 1,525 facilities, 36 alarmed facilities, 32 controlled areas, and 205 aircraft. Maintained a statistical database to determine and counteract adverse performance trends. Additionally, led the military working dog program, plans development, pass and registration program, and resource protection function.

Led the Standardization/Evaluation and Pass/Registration functions for the 39th Security Police Squadron, Incirlik Air Base, Turkey.Performed duties as the wing exercise evaluation team chief for security. Authored force protection/wartime scenarios and developed wing-level master scenario events lists to evaluate combat capability. Managed the unit standardization/evaluation program. Provided mission capability assessment based on expert evaluation of 300 SF members/25 work centers providing security/law enforcement for a community of 8,500/deployed Combined Task Force of 1,200. Ensured the most stringent security for USAF resources, including a command and control facility responsible for Operation NORTHERN WATCH. Additionally, evaluated security capabilities for combat & support aircraft deployed to Operation NORTHERN WATCH. As the Pass and Registration supervisor, was responsible for the daily activities of a 7-person staff serving a monthly average of 2,500 customers. Organized and directed all functions relative to the issue and accountability of 11 types of controlled identification media. Supervised vehicle registration processing, preparation of Turkish residency permits, processing of requests for vehicle tax exemptions, issuance of United States Forces in Turkey ID cards, and preparation of installation gate passes for compliance with host nation agreements. Served as the base liaison for US personnel with local government and military officials. Held various positions from patrol, desk sergeant, shift supervisor, and superintendent of all installation law enforcement operations at Clark Air Base, Philippines; Chanute Air Force Base, Illinois; and Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany.Duties progressed through a series of increasingly responsible positions at all assignments and, during this time period, culminated with the position of Noncommissioned Officer in charge of Law Enforcement Operations.
