As Packaging Demand Planner, my role covers management of all packaging stocks, including corrugated boxes, labels (blank and printed) and both rigid and flexible films.My key responsibilities include:Managing stocks of around 200 SKUs, with packaging stock levels of around £500,000.All ordering and future demand forecasting for packaging materials.Sole responsibility for buying, including negotiating prices and terms with existing suppliers and sourcing, vetting and developing new suppliers.Working with account managers for new product development, coordinating between account managers, customers and suppliers to develop packaging solutions in line with budget, quality and brand requirements.Responsibility for capacity management within our dry goods warehouse, working with our Warehouse Manager, Health and Safety Manager and Supply Chain Manager to ensure a safe and efficient warehouse.Help with new product set up in terms of general expertise and knowledge, selecting the best packaging SKUs for unbranded and branded products based on transport, cost and customer considerations.Advise on costings and future price movements to assist with tendering.Responsibility for investigating, developing and trialling recyclable and sustainable packaging alternatives. This involves working with suppliers on new material development.Build, develop and maintain advanced Excel-based stock management systems using VBA and custom SQL reports to streamline daily tasks and analysis.Complete start-to-finish management of our EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) submissions to DEFRA, including data collection, analysis and collation. Following our EPR submissions, I also led a full Environment Agency audit.

A varied role primarily based within the Supply Chain Department covering the ordering of raw materials and dry goods.Within the role I also have a range of other responsibilities, including:- Developing an Excel-based payroll system using the imports of third-party reports and using macros and formulas to build Sage-compatible reports to simplify payroll.- Build an Excel-based packaging forecasting and stock-management system. - Conducting internal-audits.- Worked in production and planning roles to ensure I fully understand all areas of the business.- Working on implementing a new Planning System for Production Planning to integrate with our wider MRP system.- One of two individuals involved with planning and implementing new capacity measuring and maximising processes in our new packaging warehouse.- Responsible for managing the company's packaging and waste reporting to DEFRA.

Working on the implementation of a new HR software called 'BambooHR'. This was the first time the company had used a wholistic software for the purpose of Human Resource Management and Development and has allowed much greater organisation, privacy and security for the HR department and whole company. I worked closely with the HR manager in the company and was also responsible for managing the role-out. This included introducing and teaching senior management about the system's use and advantages over previous workflows. I conducted in-person training and meetings with various levels of management from line leaders to the company's Director in a group and on-to-one format. I also produced training documentation using QR codes on hard copies to link to videos and Help guides online. I continue this role in a consultancy style format.
