Working as integral member of the Medical Staff Services team, I help plan and execute all medical staff meetings from our service line meetings to the Tanner Advancing Performance (TAP) conferences for providers throughout the system. Our larger TAP conferences focus on Inpatient Medicine, Surgical Services, Heart & Vascular Services and Women & Children's Health Services. I maintain minutes and records for all meetings related to the medical staff up to and including the Medical Executive Committee (MEC). I handle internal communications from the Medical Staff Office, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) and administration to providers or their offices through various platforms including our physician homepage, e-mail, Everbridge and PerfectServe.Along with meeting planning and communications, I support the credentialing process (pre-screen, initial and reappointment) for our Georgia facilities and oversee the Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE) process. This includes pulling all data across multiple platforms (Tableau, Epic and Midas), monitoring privileging requirement volumes, determining appropriate quality metrics and collecting APP biannual evaluations. I preside over all credentialing and privileging for our facility in Alabama. Our office manages expirables and tracks providers using EchoCredentialing. I authored our reappointment training manual and trained our current reappointment credentialing coordinator.I am well versed in our Medical Staff Bylaws, the credentialing and privileging process, OPPE/FPPE and Joint Commission requirements in conjunction with Georgia and Alabama state regulations.

I presided over the day to day operations of Dr. Lisa Parr's Lab of Primate Social Cognition at Yerkes National Primate Research Center. This included managing and training staff, graduate students, undergraduates and volunteers. During my time in the lab I was the lead on projects focusing on cognition, aging, Parkinson's, facial expressions, autism and oxytocin. I assisted with all aspects of project management including executing the IACUC's, data collection, drug administration, data analysis and administrative responsibilities including serving on the center’s safety committee. I started in Dr. Parr's lab as a research specialist and worked my way up to a lead research specialist and ended as a senior research specialist.

Working as a keeper II in the primate department which was comprised of a large and diverse group of keepers. My responsibilities included all aspects of husbandry, enrichment and training for the largest collection of orangutans and gorillas in North America. I also had additional responsibilities as the workshop coordinator for the 2009 Orangutan SSP Husbandry Workshop. My duties included all aspects of planning the workshop from start to finish including the creation and monitoring of budgets, attendees/registration, scheduling presenters, catering, print materials, etc.
