Following nearly a decade of award-winning work at Rigsby Design, I advanced to named partner with founding member Lana Rigsby. As design director, I lead the day-to-day operation of the studio, developed strategic communications and design programs for a variety of clients—from Fortune 500 companies like Weyerhaeuser, ExxonMobil and International Paper to non-profit organizations such as LIVESTRONG, Union of Concerned Scientists and the Smithsonian Institution. 
 Over the past 20 years, I cultivated deep research and data-driven strategies to inform communications decisions and design programs and lead collaborative design teams to complete multiple, concurrent projects creating award-winning design programs.

During my tenure with BYU-I, I facilitated an asynchronous, online course for students both in the U.S. and abroad teaching a 3-credit hour 16-week ART130 / Introduction to Graphic Design course. This course is a foundational core class for all graphic design and web development majors.

I joined Rigsby Design in 1996 and continued the growth of this strategic, research and writing-focused design firm. My work won consistent, international acclaim and is part of the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum’s permanent collection, the Denver Art Museum, AIGA Archives, and the Rare Book and Manuscript Library at Columbia University. During this time, my work was included in AR100, Communication Arts, 50 Books/50 Covers, Graphis. My leadership and design work lead to becoming a named partner in January 2005.

I worked with Waterford’s development and software build team to create early reading, technology-driven learning programs for PreK students. I designed full suite of hands-on early reading print-companion materials for online learning products. I was also part of the team that established early user interface and instructor portals during initial phases of software development.
