I was previously the editor of Food On Demand, a digital publication, podcast and industry conference dedicated to third-party delivery of prepared meals and retail goods. FOD covers the future of retail and restaurants, with a focus on how this impacts operators at the unit level.From 2006 to early 2014, I was an editor at Ehlert Publishing/GS Media & Events. I worked for most of the company's portfolio of powersports titles, including serving as the senior editor of Boating Industry and Powersports Business, as well as the associate editor at Snow Goer.In 2018, I was awarded the Gold Award by the Minnesota Magazine & Publishing Association for my "Urbane Franchisor" column in Franchise Times. Back in 2011, I was awarded the Silver Award in the Feature Article category for my article, "Yellowstone At Its Peak" in Snow Goer. Outside of work, I am a member of the planning commission for the city of Columbia Heights, Minnesota.
