I worked in an AGILE environment in a team of 7 (CEO, Operations Manager, Customer Support Officer, Lead Developer, Junior Developer and 2 Web Interns) with 2-week sprints and morning stand-ups to track each person’s progress.As a Web Intern and using Meteor, ReactJS and Redux-Saga, I worked on the admin area of the Static Page Manager for Pozible’s new product where a user could sign up as a partner to build their own crowdfunding site using Pozible’s platform. The partner uses various tools to create their static pages and deploy them to their site.During my time in this intern position, I learnt how a tech company operates. I improved my coding skills dramatically and learnt techniques to be an efficient programmer, includ- ing how to implement proper programming practices such as debugging methods, code- base organisation, attention to code detail and understanding the flow of the data.I was mentored on user experience and interface; understanding the application from the user perspective and how consistency in design and functionality is extremely important. I also learnt how to ask the right questions and how to take feedback and use it accordingly.
