In my current role at TJ Brooks, I am responsible for safety, quality, staffing, throughput, and expenditure across multiple manufacturing departments, totalling around 100 staff and shop floor employees. These departments include both shop floor operations and supportive functions, each with its own safety, quality, efficiency, and budgetary metrics.

I was responsible for the safety, quality standards, production throughput, sales targets, personnel management, and variable budget allocation (over $50,000 Day) for a department comprised of 106 staff members. This department manufactured Cold Drawn superalloy tubes, with weekly revenues amounting to over $1.5 million.

During this role I focused on developing my skillset and gaining experience while working alongside the Cold Drawn Business Unit manager. As a team we were responsible for the safety, quality standards, production throughput, sales targets, personnel management, and variable budget allocation (over $50,000 Day) for a department comprised of 106 staff members. This department manufactured Cold Drawn superalloy tubes, with weekly revenues amounting to over $1.5 million.

Rotation 4 of the MDP Scheme. During this role I was accountable for the safety, quality, production output, improvement pipeline and variable spend for two Manufacturing Departments of 30 Staff. A key achievement was solving the long term quality issues around CAD plating which allowed work to be produced inhouse rather than through sub contractors decreasing cost and leadtime.

Rotation 3 of the MDP scheme. During this role I stepped up and took accountability for the safety, quality, production output, improvement pipeline and variable spend for Multiple finishing Cells comprising of 20 Staff. A key achievement in this role was leading the Cells through COVID while maintaining productivity and sales commitments.

Rotation 2 of the MDP Scheme. During this role I was accountable for the safety, quality, production output, improvement pipeline and variable spend for a Manufacturing finishing Cell comprising of 10 Staff. A key achievement of this rotation was increasing the yield of material from Extrusion to dock by 15% through developing a more efficient planning tool.

Rotation 1 of the MDP Scheme. In this role I was accountable for the delivery of quarterly Cold Draw Sales Target. This included generating the sales plan, coordinating cross functionally within the business and with Outside Inspectors to ensure successful execution of the plan. During this role I also supported the department from a Continuous improvement perspective.

I worked full time at Essex Outdoors as a seasonal instructor. Delivering session such as Archery, Climbing and Bridge Build to groups of up to 10 children or adults of ranging walks of life and handicaps. A session lasts one and a half hours and requires you to brief the group on safety and how the activity will be run, demonstrate and teach the skills required to complete the activity, then ensure a safe environment while the activity is ongoing.
