Task: Conceptualize, design & present a network/services that was of a higher caliber than described in the RFP. Action: Applied my financial acumen by working with numerous departments/levels within Cox, including several VP’s who then had to confer with Cox’ President to receive the approvals needed to respond to the RFP with my concept. Justified an Addendum to the RFP permitting award to one vendor.Result: Cox was one of 3 finalists invited to provide an Oral Presentation and then UMC announced that they intended to award the entire Contract to Cox, which was the largest awarded to Cox that year, was completed under budget and ahead of schedule, plus has continued to exceed UMC’s requirements.
