As the Head of Sustainability Standards & Analytics, my role is to steer the firm’s sustainability processes and drive our innovative efforts on SusIE. The department, part of our Legal, Compliance, Risk & Finance function, serves as the firm’s independent trusted advisor on sustainability through high-quality analytics, integration processes, and disclosure excellence. Our teams provide solutions on sustainability matters and enable strategic business decisions related to sustainable investing (e.g., market standards, regulation, data, and methodologies) and corporate sustainability (e.g., CSRD, quality assurance, and KPIs steering) while minimizing legal, compliance, and reputational risks. The department consists of three teams:- Sustainability Standards & Integration team: This team ensures oversight of the firm’s sustainability integration processes to meet good governance and sustainability requirements. This includes initiatives, policies, labels, disclosures to support sustainable investing, regulatory compliance, and strategic decision-making. - Sustainability Methodologies & Analytics team: This team leads the data strategy and develop methodologies across asset classes to assess a company’s sustainability business conduct, operations, and revenues. The team also builds analytic tools, including SusIE (Sustainability Insights Engine) to help investment teams better manage portfolio sustainability and enhance investment capabilities in line with client demand.- Corporate Sustainability Reporting team: This team provides CSRD reporting and analysis to the Executive Committee and our parent company, enabling strategic business decisions considering NFD targets and P&L impacts. They are responsible for steering sustainability KPIs and ensuring quality assurance on reported analytics through auditability of processes, internal controls, and plausibility checks.
