Your quality of life depends on the quality of your communication. I have spent years studying communication and training others to communicate more effectively. I’m truly passionate about people and their relationships. My research is about the communication styles and management of interpersonal relationships. I am always eager to connect with other professionals and hear their stories. While I enjoy all aspects of my job, I think my favorite stage of a project is working with the client or business leader to understand his or her objectives. As we go through that collaborative process, the ideas start to flow and that’s always the fun part.Previously, I was the operations manager of an event company. We provide a wide spectrum of event services from table linens to venue management. In my position, I was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the venue in downtown Manhattan, KS, and outside business development. We strive to provide outstanding customer service experience and personalized event planning. I was a graduate teaching assistant in the Department of Communication Studies at Kansas State University. In this role, I led a classroom of undergraduate students in the process of developing their public speaking and interpersonal skills. I also teach Country Two-Step lessons with my wife in community learning center. I enjoy working with others and helping them grow and learn to be better versions of themselves. Before joining the Communication Studies Masters program, I completed my bachelor's degree in Legal Communication at Kansas State University. I have completed a Master's Degree in Communication Studies and hold a Bachelor of Science in Legal Communication from Kansas State University.I’m always interested in hearing from former colleagues, managers, or just interesting creative folk, so feel free to contact me if you’d like to connect.
