Process Improvement Engineer at XeroxDeveloped several new Excel based data automation tools and Access databases to enable quicker data analysis and reduce non value add.Developed a real time dashboard using python and selenium that rotates through several different webpage views of lab operations and includes a Word based message board easily updatable by management to communicate important messages to lab personnel. Within 3 weeks, went from knowing nothing about selenium to a working program.Automated a scorecard tool used by upper management using Excel VBA taking the manual process of combining several subdivisions from days to minutes.Created an Access database that automated and standardized the process of ordering machine parts, interacting with a standard Word parts order template and Outlook to mail the form. Allowed for the processing of Outlook messages that had other parts and/or supplies being ordered into the database. Implemented an inventory functionality for parts to be checked in when received or checked out when used. Vastly improved the process of determining division expenditures and to break down the expenditures on an as needed basis with a series of Reports. Led educational meetings on the features of the database for engineers and machine operators as the database rolled out.Many of these projects helped the team to win the 2018 Greater Rochester Quality Council Silver Operations Excellence Award

Wrote software requirements for process controls over the last three printer projects which included translating requirements from another spoken or code based language, some reverse engineering to fill in the blanks and fit the results into the program’s system objectives.• Sought out by manager to learn the requirements submittal process: NVM, Work Tracking and Fault databases and presenting to change control boards. Taught new engineers the process.• Generated process diagrams and documentation for systems under development using MS Visio, MS Word and MS Excel.• Translated Japanese documentation using online applications while reverse engineering their machine to create subsystem software requirements. Preventing program delay and lost productivity while maintaining on time deliverables.• Combined the controls functionality of two office printers for an optimal subsystem timing requirements for a new office printer while interacting with the UK team.• Researched history and viability of R&D’s image analysis Matlab code with the original creators. Translated code into program requirements and wrote a python simulator. Co-Conceptualized and Tested a JAVA-based Data Mining tool set.• Provided efficient data processing for hundreds of customer placed xerographic digital presses, a multi-million dollar project. Maintained text based data bank with information the engineering community felt was most necessary for solving field escalations. Interfaced with field service engineers to help diagnose machine problems and help produce customer satisfying solutions.• Educated a diverse array of engineers, individually and in groups, in how to use the Data Mining tool set that cut their data processing time by at least 50%.Created or modified several MS office-based data mining and analysis tools for the engineering community to significantly increase productivity using Microsoft Office VBA, mostly using Excel and Access.• Identified the need and automated the data extraction process by combining Excel and WinZip programs. Decreased the time spent by engineering staff from manually processing logs by at least 25%.
