Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Thomas (Tom) Smith is Chief Executive Officer for Capital Business Development Associates. Following 32 years of service in the Army and Marine Corps, Tom has been a business development consultant in the areas of homeland security and communications interoperability, as well as facilitating interagency operations, exercises and training involving communications.Tom is nationally recognized as an expert in the area of deployable, interagency communication relevant to disaster response and homeland security. He developed and implemented the first Cyber-Defense initiative within the Missouri Guard and participated in the State Cyber-Security Task Force.
