Worked for BorgWarner Transmission Systems as a technical liaison and specialist for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors. Design and simulation of PMSM motors for electric pumps, electric actuators, and hybrid/traction motors. Managed technical specifications and worked with customers to develop High Voltage and 48V Hybrid Modules.

Hired in at BorgWarner in Corporate Advanced Engineering (CAE) - Drivetrain Group as a Project Engineer. Worked on designing, testing, and integrating prototype parts for R&D projects. Became the Electric Vehicle Project Lead in the CAE group, and was responsible for integrating system level integration of components into hybrid and eV demo vehicles.

Originally, assisted Chrysler HVAC Design group with warrenty claims, cost reduction activities, and new product preliminary proposals. Moved to HVAC Development group in Nov 2014. Group focused on developing new HVAC designs after awarded business. Focused on improvement of case designs for performance, toolability, and manufacturability until product reaches full Mass Production level. Developed CAD Data for CFD and FEA analysis, and evaluated and implemented results. Communicated between Testing, CAD Designers, Manufacturing, and Customer Leads.

At Baldwin Filters, I worked on new parts management, part design, and testing on Cartridge and Spin-on style Fuel, Engine Oil, and Hydraulic Filters. For Part Management, I gained experience in documentation, planning, and implementation on products are produced in the range of tens of thousands of product annually. In Parts Design, I was exposed to designs from many different companies over many different filter categories, and helped seasoned engineers with CAD/CAM projects on new designs. And when Testing, investigated new products for possible customer concerns and OE specifications.

Implemented two greenfield projects in two factories. Both involved assembly line moves from a different factory. First being a finished product assembly line (S70, MT52/55), and second being an engine subassembly line. Understanding of product design, manufacturing processes, and parts management became essential to successful implementation. My projects included work on Standard Work Instructions, Kaizan events, "Bento" style production, flow management, quality engineering, factory floor layouts, and designing for manufacturability.
