Having worked at SDA since 1988, my background includes a diverse range of planning and design services. Early assignments included road and bridge design, followed by assisting our municipal engineering department with infrastructure design as well as development reviews. In 1991, I moved into the land development realm where I have remained ever since. I have worked on a wide array of development projects, including residential, commercial, K-12 school districts, higher education, industrial, and healthcare.As the Director of the Land Development Department, I am responsible for oversight of all development projects, including conceptual planning, preliminary and final designs, and throughout the construction phase. I am also responsible for overseeing a staff of 16 engineers, CAD technicians, and planners. Projects range from small parking lot projects to new high schools, with a wide array of complexities to each project. SDA also offers Pavement Management Consulting services, which has taken us across the country assisting clients in managing pavement improvements and ADA compliance projects. As a result, I hold engineering licenses in nearly 40 states.I have always enjoyed the Land Development area of civil engineering, as I believe it allows for a blend of art and science. I enjoy finding creative solutions to unique challenges that we face daily in our projects.I am also responsible for oversight of all business development pursuits for our land development unit.
