Thomas Stirrat is a Medical Student. Colleagues describe him as "What impresses me most about Thomas Stirrat is his noble heart and mission to serve others through medicine. I first met Thomas in 2015 when he began my advanced Spanish course as a high school junior. Earlier in his youth, Thomas recognized the importance of being able to speak and understand Spanish in order to be able to serve an even greater number of people in need of medical services. His incredible forethought, conviction and dedication informed his wise decision to take Spanish all fours years of high school and to continue his studies of the Spanish language and Hispanic cultures in college. I can affirm that he is a responsible, talented, thoughtful, and extremely articulate young man. As a teacher, I always knew I could count on him to contribute thoughtfully to class discussions and to work well with others, often naturally assuming a position of leadership within the class and motivating his fellow classmates to participate with gusto and to discuss material at a deeper level. It is not surprising for me to see that Thomas has been applying the same intelligence, tenacity, and superior time management skills that he used to succeed in high school to his pursuit of medicine and bilingualism in college. I have every confidence that Thomas will excel throughout and beyond college and medical school. Thomas would add immeasurably value and benefit to any medical program lucky enough to add him to their institution. I am also certain that he will continue to increasingly enrich his community and the world with his passion, drive, and talent."
