In my early '70's clinical/counseling training in family and group systems psychotherapy at the Athenian Institute of Anthropos, Athens, Greece my passion for helping well-functioning people learn and develop their inner strengths was ignited. In the early '90's in search of a tool to assist in realizing my Strength-based passion focus I came across a little know assessment-the Highlands Ability Battery (HAB). This tool became a main way to bring my focus on developing strengths to a new objective height. Now after 30+ years and thousands of hours using this tool with people from ages 16-60 at all different levels within organizations (leaders, teams, HiPOs) as well as those individuals who seek career direction (HS, College, Graduate, Career changers)I know I made the right decisions so many years ago! 30 years later I still feel the excitement, joy and deep satisfaction in exploring and helping another person who has taken the HAB in understanding one's natural strengths and talent potentials.Our company, IMD, founded in 1986 has worked with both national and global companies. Note the courses on Psychological aspects as well as Leadership in Times of Crisis.This work experience, especially after 9/11, was for some time one of the most important direct contributions to society and I was passionate about what we did. Led teams in developing innovative e-learning and training solutions for a variety of client organizations, including federal, state, private, religious, and local emergency responders. Built tabletop training exercises for various client organizations including: area Counter-terrorist Task Force groups, National Center for Food Protection and Defense etc. Led development and deployment of 16 asynchronous e-courses that generates income for the University. Lead on 2 Federal Government DoD $2.4 million projects: Psychology of Suicidal Bomber and Port of Philadelphia Security Training.One of two original staff members of Center that grow to 14 fulltime staff and largest externally funded program of the University. Led development of course entitled 'Panic Response Operations' that won a DoD sponsored award in 2002.
