Tom practices in the areas of matrimonial and family law in Cook County, Lake County, DuPage County and Will County, Illinois and elsewhere upon agreement. His experience includes: trial preparation, litigation of custody disputes, removal actions including interstate and international matters involving the Hague convention, litigation involving domestic violence, and the resolution of post-dissolution conflicts. Mr. Field also has expertise in the analysis of complex financial matters including executive compensation, closely held businesses, and real estate holdings. Further, he has extensive experience in the preparation and litigation of prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. Mr. Field has lectured to both lay and legal groups on various family law topics. In 2010 he was selected by the Law Bulletin Publishing Company as one of the Top 40 Attorneys Under Forty in Illinois. He has also been named a Rising Star in the area of Family Law by Super Lawyers Magazine each year since 2009, a distinction reserved for the top 2.5% of all Illinois attorneys under 40 and has been named a Leading Lawyer by the Leading Lawyer's Network each year since 2009. Further, Mr. Field has received the AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, which designation is reserved for lawyers with the highest ethical and legal standards.
