Currently studying a school direct PGCE in Primary Education via Sheffield Hallam University and writing children’s picture books.+Creative, Thorough, Determined, Passionate and Enthusiastic:I am a very enthusiastic person and make sure to let my enthusiasm shine through in my work. My strongest trait is my creative flair, that I make good use of to solve tasks regularly. I enjoy a challenge and thrive at the opportunity to approach work from a new direction. Since completing my undergraduate degree I have harnessed my creative thinking by spending a lot of my spare time writing stories in the form of children’s picture books and screenplays. I research extensively to ensure I have the greatest understanding of what I am writing about and approach all of my work with the upmost enthusiasm and passion. +Observant, Written Communication and Organizational Skills, and Diligence:Since beginning my studies as a trainee teacher I have developed my transcribing skills and understanding the importance of taking notes throughout meetings to be able to understand information as well as relaying it to others with confidence. This, in turn has also aided in developing my communication skills, as it is a crucial skill to be able to communicate information clearly and engagingly to effectively teach children, as well as communicating my own reflections clearly to my mentor. I always show excellent attention to detail, ensuring that I have studied the task at hand thoroughly and have taken all variables into account when moving forward.My portfolio currently includes:Children’s literature: Eight children’s picture books (three educational and three in poetic verse), that I have recently started submitting to agencies, with two more in development.Six of these have been turned into ‘Bedtime Stories’ style videos for Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.Screenwriting:CITIZEN SOLDIERS - Action/drama World War Two anthology series depicting important events from the war from new perspectives, through the eyes of the people who lived them.DEADZONE - Action/Mystery series in a dystopian past; set after a failed E-bomb wiped out the majority of the UK as the Nazi army dominates the world.
