About Thomas Thorsell, Ph.D.
My professional experience in the construction industry have mainly been gained through work in a small consulting engineering firm in Sweden dealing with most aspects of the building process from early program design to final commissioning. I have experience from small to medium sized projects both new builds and retrofits.I have international research experience from three international projects (two European and one International in the Energy Agency annex 39). This work was a part of my work towards my Licentiate Degree (which is a Swedish Research degree equivalent of all course work and 50% of the thesis work for a PhD) at The Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden.My education has allowed me to study in such diverse subjects as project management, measurement systems, micro electronics, programming while maintaining my focus on building technology and building physics.Specialties: Broad insights to most aspects of buildings, Expert knowledge in building physics, Vacuum based super insulation, Quality assurance in construction, Hands on construction experience, Materials testing, Building component testing, CAD
