I founded ScanAm Legal in 2010 as a law firm focused on all aspecs of Scandinavian-American Business. ScanAm Legal has been very succesful and I look forward to building on this succes in my new Danish-American law firm, Thomas Martin.

Associate with the Law firm Martensen Wright PC, Sacramento, California.The firm specialized in Danish-American business law, US and International litigation and immigration law.The majority of the firm’s client base is Danish-American businesses. The legal work I was involved in focused on International business contracts, including contract negotiations, US and Danish corporate work, Danish and International litigation and Business Immigration.

Employed with the law firm Lønberg & Leth Christensen, Copenhagen, Denmark.I primarily worked with the sale and purchase of real estate, debt collection (mainly for banks) and civil court cases, and later mainly for business clients.The legal work focused on all aspects of real estate, in Denmark and internationally, M&A, contract drafting, and professional liability cases.I conducted seminars regarding new Danish debt collection legislation in August 2002 (with Advokaternes Serviceselskab).

Legal Intern (fuldmægtig) at Hypotekbanken (now: Økonomistyrelsen), a division of the Danish Ministry of Finance. Worked primarily with the collection of state subsidised student loans, insolvency proceedings regarding student loans, preparation of answers to the parliament (Folketing) on behalf of the minister of Finance, drafting new regulation (love og bekendtgørelser). Headed a project concerning the collection of default student loans from debtors situated in outside of Denmark.
