We took an interim management position as Chief Marketing and Sales Officer of consumer products and raw material sales. The company grew 90%+ revenues during 18 month tenure. We led strategic planning, guided the restructuring and growth of B2B division, managed consumer call center, developed consumer marketing campaign from research to multi-media plan. We also handled international customers and product introductions.

With Buena BioSystems, Inc., of Santa Paula, CA, we played a more conventional executive consultant role. The owner saw his company at a crossroads due to both his long service and a more hostile competitive environment. We worked together to involve employees in business planning and customer management. We enhanced the productivity of production (the growth and cultivation of beneficial insects for the agriculture industry in North and South America). We also conducted an in-depth feasibility study and wrote a business plan for a franchise opportunity. We created a brand for one of the insects, targeted a market niche, developed and managed a successful 50% self-liquidating test market for the bug.

I've partnered in many other startup and growth ventures, both in the for profit and not for profit. My skills at building trust among employees and enhancing productivity have brought value and stability to several small companies in the food manufacturing and distribution, fund-raising, and media industries. One media company grew 100% in one year, from 10 employees to 20, while doubling its distribution and advertising base. Another grew more than 100% in two years ($4M to $8M+).
