Information System Security Officer
CurrentManages and implements the the Information Systems Security and Accreditation programs for the Mission Command Battle Lab (MCBL) adhering to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework (RMF). Manages the overall planning, direction, coordination and administration of local Information Security policies, governance, and procedures through the planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of the Information Systems Security Program's (ISSP) policies, procedures, and tools in accordance with NIST RMF. Defines, monitors, and ensures publication of security policies, standards and guidance for MCBL’s Futures Lab. Performs compliance auditing, risk assessments, and security incident handling in MCBL’s experimentation facility. Develops and documents systems security contingency plans and disaster recovery procedures, tests and evaluations; develops, publishes and verifies compliance with certification and accreditation (C&A) standards and procedures; and coordinates the delivery of security awareness training programs. Advises the Director of MCBL on matters pertaining to information assurance. Coordinates with and briefs agency personnel, Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) G-6 representatives, and Army G-6 Certifying Agent Representatives (CARs) to inform them of the direction and status of the Information Assurance Programs. Coordinates with and briefs Information Security representatives of Army Battle Lab community on how proposed security controls may impact operations. Recommends solutions that balance security with the need to conduct experiments at the core of MCBL's mission.
