As part of a vendor qualification initiative Tom traveled to Ipoh Malaysia to evaluate and qualify a key manufacturing partner’s wafer and die sales facility. An initial 10-day effort stretched to 3 weeks as Tom and the factory team made steady improvement to reduce stubborn debris particles from contaminating pristine wafers and die. Tom is lead auditor trained and is a key contributor to Mindspeed’s bi-annual ISO 9001 internal audits. Tom has good relationships with many of the top FA and qualification labs in the US and abroad including EAG, Criteria Labs and IST.
