- Managed Mizuho’s LAF Financial Institutions team (6 members) that was responsible for over 35% of area revenues and a portfolio of over $3.5 billion in exposure.- Increased sector revenues from near zero in 2009 to more than $40 million over 5 year period (peak was maintained over subsequent years).- Exceeded profit targets consistently at Mizuho, including achieving over 200% during 3 separate years.- Originated and acted as Bookrunner in 90%+ of all major FI Syndicated Loans in the region from 2012 to 2016. Led all origination and structuring activities, including negotiation of deal terms and legal documentation, and creation of deal materials such as the Information Memorandum. Presented deals at bank meetings alongside clients and other lead banks.- Prepared and presented to senior management an annual business plan projecting portfolio growth and profitability.- Oversaw the credit process with analysts including research, financial statement analysis, cash flow modeling, loan documentation and negotiation for Latin American Corporate and Financial Institution financing products.- Coordinated workgroup teams in product areas of the bank such as Debt Capital Markets, Global Trade Finance, Leasing and Syndications to identify, promote and execute financing transactions to Latin American clients.- Led meetings alongside senior management at international bank conferences (International Monetary Fund, InterAmerican Development Bank and Felaban), to identify, negotiate and secure business opportunities for the LAF team.- Acted as Brazil Country Co-Manager covering Financial Institutions, Infrastructure & Construction, Food & Beverage, Pulp & Paper, Sugar & Ethanol and Aviation industries (2012-2014).
