As the VP of Engineering, I play a key role in driving product development, manufacturing improvements, capacity expansion and quality improvements. I have had the great fortune to help bring the Cirkul product from prototype and a to a highly successful product and company. Work has spanned product development, transitioning all of our high volume manufacturing back stateside to establishing a series of novel high speed automation lines. We started with a team of 5 and have quickly built Cirkul into a celebrated company with hundreds of employees. The engineering team started as a team of one and now spans Plastics and Tooling, Automation, Product Development, Quality Engineering and Program Management. We have done all this with a strong belief that the “right people matter.” These groups have driven huge cost savings, with quality improvements. It is easy to be right, but how we solve large complex problems that have very real business impacts is far more interesting. It’s with this mindset that we’ve built the Engineering Team and been able to be so successful at CirkulKey Skills: Automation | Quality | Strategic Recruitment | Vertical Integration | Efficiency Improvements | Factory Acceptance Testing | GMP | Product Innovation | Leadership

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer here, I performed product development for consumer and medical products. I interfaced directly with many of the company’s biggest clients, including Cirkul and Phillips. For them, I led product design, brainstorming, 3D printing, bench-top testing, and proof-of-concept creation. One of my most successful projects here included transforming a non-functioning prototype into a manufacturable product for Cirkul. I presented and won approval for an ambitious project proposal. This multi-year project led to my subsequent recruitment as the VP of Engineering by the team at Cirkul.I also created a patented catheter product here, which revolutionized the advancement and retraction of catheters in drainage tubes. In addition, I led product design for complex electro-mechanical medical devices, including defibrillators, which required a high degree of precision and accuracy as well. I performed extensive analysis to identify and mitigate risks for this.Working at a product design consultancy meant that I often had to develop product designs within tight deadlines and budgets. I managed both effectively and ensured clients were kept apprised of any scheduling or budget changes.Key Skills: Product Prototype Development | Viable Products | Customer Satisfaction & Focus | Consumer Products | Medical Devices | Engineering Team Leadership | Project Scope, Schedule, & Budget Management | Key Stakeholder Collaboration
