Thomas Vanden Driessche was born in Leuven in 1979. Holder of a master's degree in journalism and a master's degree in humanitarian management, he has been working for the United Nation Development program in Morocco, for the Belgian Red Cross and for the International Committee of the Red Cross Delegation to the European Union and the NATO.In 2010, he created with Aurélie Coene the communication agency Studio Fiftyfifty where he's working as the Creative Director.Freelance photographer working for magazine such as Geo, New York Time, the Guardian, Juliette & Victor, Le Soir, Le Nouvel Observateur, The Guardian, Monocle since 2010, Thomas joined the international photo agency INSTITUTE for Artist Management (london/los angeles based) in 2014. In 2010 he launched with Aurélie Coene the communication and graphic design agency Studio Fiftyfifty where he works as partner and creative director.His work has, among others, been exhibited in the Center Pompidou, the festival Images Singulières in Sète, the hamburg international triennale, the Boutographies in Montpellier, the Festival Circulation(s) in Paris, at the International Biennial of Photography and Visual Arts of Liège, the FORMAT Festival Derby, Festival Images de Vevey.In 2013 Thomas was nominated two times for the prestigious Pictet Prize. His first book "How to be a photographer in four lessons""was published by André Frère Edtions in 2013 and launched at the Grand Palais for Paris Photo. In this book, he pretends to teach photography in a very personal way with a gentle irony emphasizing stereotypes and excesses in certain trends in contemporary photography.His work is part of the collection of the BNF and the Centre Pompidou.
