Thomas was recently promoted to Senior Merchant Consultant II for the Dallas-Fort Worth division of Universal Processing LLC in Plano, TX. Since August '22, he oversees a growing portfolio of more than 150 self-obtained merchants with a total credit card processing volume averaging over 2 million dollars monthly. Every month since he joined uP, Thomas consistently exceeds his sales quotas and bonus requirements. Immediately before that, he was a Contact Representative for Megan Chicone's State Farm Insurance Agency in Pittsburgh, PA.Thomas graduated in May ‘22 with two Bachelor's degrees in Marketing Management and Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh. He valued academic excellence but also understood the importance of building leadership skills and meaningful connections.In college, Thomas was among the few selected to become a member of the newest class of Pitt Pathfinders. Pathfinders are employees of the University's Office of Admissions, the faces that represent the school as tour guides for prospective students and their families. He was also selected to assist Dr. B. Guy Peters in research on comparative politics during the semester of Fall 2021.During the pandemic, Thomas joined the University's pandemic response efforts by serving as a Building Safety Concierge for the Office of Public Safety and Emergency Management. He also served as an effective part-time employee for the University of Pittsburgh as a Guest Relations Assistant for the school's student union.Thomas was involved in a magnitude of student organizations. In residential governance, he was popularly elected as Vice President of Programming for the Resident Student Association. He also served as Housing Chair for the planning committee of the Regional Leadership Conference in 2019 for the National Association of College and University Residence Halls. He is experienced at giving speeches at conferences, and town halls, and leading conversations with large groups of people. In 2019, he was part of one of the most selective international experiences at his business school: the Pitt Plus3 Program. Thomas, as a chosen group leader, spent two weeks in South Korea to learn about local firms and industries. Upon return, he served as an International Ambassador for the International Programs Office in which he advises students who wish to study abroad just as he did. Thomas is also a brother of the Phi Alpha Delta Pre-law Fraternity and the Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity chapters at the University of Pittsburgh. He is a member of the American Marketing Association.
