The unit provides 24/7 ICT support to NSW Ambulance staff utilising enabling technologies. These encompass not only the Triple Zero Call Taking, Triage, and Dispatch Systems but also the in vehicle Mobile Data Terminals (MDTs), Electronic Medical Records (eMRs), Emergency Triple Zero Telephony Systems, Geospatial Mapping, NSW Ambulance flight and medical retrieval systems, and various other critical systems. Following the eHealth change management framework, I review and provide approval / comment for changes within the Frontline Applications space. These changes may involve significant disruptions to service delivery and as such require appropriate liaison and management to ensure the business is prepared. When ICT disruptions to service delivery are observed, I manage both High and Critical incidents ensuring the team respond quickly and effectively.
