Based on extensive experience gained through over 25 years of oversight and championing of broad pipelines of diverse drugs, I am well-versed in common scientific, non-clinical, translational, clinical, business, and regulatory issues common to drug development and approaches to avoid or solve these issues. Underpinning this experience is a solid scientific background in oncology, immunology, and gene therapy with first or senior author publications in Science, Cell, Nature Medicine and Nature Biotechnology and primary inventorship on over 30 issued patents. I have significant experience in managing groups of scientists providing preclinical in vivo pharmacology and translational research to drive multiple oncology, immunotherapy, autoimmune, and angiogenic projects in Discovery and Early Development and have provided leadership to drive the design of first in man and proof of concept studies through close, cross-functional interaction on integrated project teams. In addition, I have led numerous strategic efforts to enhance drug development including the creation of biomarker discovery and combination therapy strategies for oncology and the development of workflows and criteria for drug discovery and early development.
